Terms of Service
1. The service
Covertora (www.covertora.com) is operated by DALFAST, s.r.o., Bratislava, Slovak Republic (EU), IČO 52237826, DIČ 2121001949 ("we", "us"). Covertora provides browser-based document tools — for example merging, splitting, compressing and converting PDFs, and generating documents such as invoices and quotes. By using the site you accept these terms.
All tools process files locally in your browser. We provide the software; the processing happens on your device. This means the quality and speed of results can depend on your device and browser.
2. Free tier
Core tools are free to use with a fair-use daily limit per tool. Limits reset daily and exist to keep the free tier sustainable. We may adjust which tools and limits are included in the free tier at any time.
3. Your account
You don't need an account for the free tools; one is required only for Covertora Pro. If you create an account, you agree to provide an accurate email address, to keep your password confidential, and that you are responsible for activity under your account. Accounts are for a single person — don't share credentials or resell access. We may suspend or terminate accounts that are used for fraud, abuse, or breach of these terms. You can delete your account anytime by emailing support@covertora.com.
4. Paid plans
- Plans. We offer paid subscriptions — Basic (€5.99/mo · €49.99/yr), Professional (€12.99/mo · €99.99/yr) and Business (€24.99/mo · €199.99/yr) — plus one-time credit packs (40/100/300/1,000 credits) that don't renew. Prices include applicable VAT. See the pricing page for what each includes.
- Who you're paying. Payments are processed securely by Stripe on behalf of DALFAST, s.r.o. — DALFAST, s.r.o. is the merchant of record and the entity you are paying, not a separate "Covertora" company.
- Renewal & cancellation. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel anytime via the Stripe customer portal (linked in your receipt email) or by contacting us; access continues until the end of the paid period. Credit packs are one-time purchases and do not renew.
- No refunds. Subscription payments, including renewals, and credit pack purchases are final — see the Refund Policy.
- Fair use. "Unlimited" means normal human use, not automated/scripted bulk processing or reselling access.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Covertora to process content that is illegal, or to attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer for competitive cloning, scrape at scale, or resell the service without our written consent. You are responsible for having the rights to the documents you process (for example, respecting copyright and password-protection laws in your jurisdiction — the PDF password remover is intended only for files whose password you legitimately know).
6. Your content
Your files remain yours. Because processing is local, we never receive your files and claim no rights over them. Output you generate with Covertora (invoices, QR codes, logos, documents) is yours to use, including commercially.
7. Disclaimers & liability
Covertora is provided "as is". We work hard to make the tools accurate and reliable, but we cannot guarantee that outputs are error-free or fit for a specific purpose — always review important documents before using them. Generated templates (contracts, invoices, business plans) are practical starting points, not legal, tax or financial advice.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from the use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, or your statutory rights as an EU consumer.
8. Governing law & changes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Slovak Republic; EU consumers also retain the protection of mandatory rules in their country of residence. We may update these terms; material changes will be signposted on this page with a new "last updated" date. Questions: support@covertora.com.
