Privacy & security
Are my files uploaded to your servers? +
Most core file tools process files locally in your browser. A tool that needs an optional online or AI service must tell you before data is sent. Check the notice shown by the specific tool and do not submit material you are not authorised to process.
What happens to my file after I close the tab? +
It simply ceases to exist in the tool. Files live only in your browser tab's temporary memory while you work. Closing the tab clears everything. There is nothing stored, cached or "scheduled for deletion" on our side, because nothing ever reached us.
Is Covertora GDPR compliant? +
Covertora is operated from Bratislava, Slovakia, in the European Union. Most core file tools process locally, while clearly identified online features may process submitted data. See our Privacy Policy for the applicable purpose, provider and safeguards.
Can I use Covertora for confidential documents? +
Use confidential documents only when the selected tool explicitly states that processing stays on your device and your organisation permits it. Do not place confidential content into an optional online or AI feature unless you are authorised and accept its privacy notice.
Using the tools
Which browsers and devices are supported? +
Any modern browser: Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari and their mobile versions. Covertora works on Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS and Android with no installs or extensions.
Is there a file size limit? +
There's no hard limit from us — capacity depends on your device's memory, since your device does the work. Phones comfortably handle files up to ~100 MB; desktops much more. Very large files simply take a little longer.
Why is a tool asking me to upgrade? +
The free tier gives a few uses of each tool per day, and some premium tools are on paid plans. Your daily counter resets at midnight. A paid plan removes the limits — see the pricing page.
My download didn't start — what do I do? +
Check whether your browser blocked the download (look for an icon in the address bar), allow pop-ups for covertora.com, and try again. Our download help page walks through fixes for every browser.
A tool isn't working correctly. How do I report it? +
Email support@covertora.com with the tool name, browser, device and what happened. A screenshot can help, but remove personal or confidential information before sending it.
