Common questions

Why does PDF metadata matter?

It is what a reader shows in its title bar, what a document management system indexes, and what a search engine reads. A file whose author is still a previous colleague or whose title is a template name says more than intended.

Does editing metadata change the pages?

No. Only the document properties change; the pages themselves are untouched.

Are my files uploaded?

No. The metadata is edited in your browser.
