How to watermark an image

Put your name or a notice across a picture before you share it.

Common questions

Does it change my original file?

No. The original stays untouched on your device; the download is a new, marked copy.

How visible should a watermark be?

Enough to be legible over the busiest part of the picture, faint enough not to spoil it. A watermark placed across the subject is far harder to crop out than one tucked into a corner.

Are my images uploaded?

No. The watermark is applied in your browser.
