How to translate text in an image

Read the words in a photograph or screenshot, translate them, and download the translated image.

  1. Sign in, open the Image Translator and add the picture containing the text.
  2. Choose the language to translate into.
  3. Let the text be recognised and translated, then download the result.

Common questions

Is my image uploaded?

The text recognised in the picture is sent to our server to be translated, and the tool requires a sign-in. Unlike most Covertora tools, this one does not work entirely offline, so avoid it for anything confidential.

Why is some text missed?

Recognition has to read the words before they can be translated. Clear, straight, high-contrast text reads well; small, angled, decorative or low-contrast text is much harder.

Which languages does it handle?

You can translate into any of the languages offered in the language list on the page.
