How to generate a barcode

Create a barcode in CODE128, EAN-13, UPC and other standard symbologies, set its size and colour, and export it as an image or vector.

  1. Open the Barcode Generator, choose the barcode type you need, and enter the number or text it should encode.
  2. Adjust the size, colour and label to suit where the barcode will be printed.

Is it free?

Generating and previewing a barcode is free. Downloading the finished file is a paid-plan feature.

Which barcode type should I use?

EAN-13 and UPC are the retail product codes issued by GS1 and only work if you own the number. CODE128 encodes arbitrary text or numbers, so it is the right choice for internal labels, assets and stock.

Can I get a vector rather than a picture?

Yes. SVG, PDF and EPS are vector exports, so the barcode stays sharp at any print size.
